Colombia la costa where is better?

ok i have about a week to go spend time up in that area ... so my question what better cartagena, santa marta , or barranquilla?i hear wonder full things about all 3 places but i want take full advantage of my time there anyone? any advice? and if so and decent hotels at an ok rate ? personal experiences are a welcome to hear
