Does monotheism cause some things to be neglected?

Many religions have a whole pantheon of gods to take care of all the details, for instance Neith was the goddess of weaving for the Egyptians, and Ometochtli was the Aztec god of drunkenness. In religions with just one measely god, that god has to try to take care of all of it at once and some things just don't get the attention they deserve. Just how much time does the Christian god devote to weaving and drunkenness? Even with a god of the underworld to help him with some things, the jack-of-all-trades Christian god just isn't cutting it.
