I'm going to my boyfriend's mother's house for thanksgiving, what should I bring?

It's out of state, so we'll be driving about 9 hours to get there, so I'm thinking I might do some sort of take a collapsible bowl with dip mixes inside and/or an oven mitt with kitchen utensils or something of the sort. I was going to do the easy buy a bottle of wine, but that almost seems too cliche, besides its thanksgiving, who couldn't always use the extra storage and serving ware for a holiday meal! Any thoughts? Is that too much/trying to hard? Any other suggestions?
