I think its a disgrace to be honest. The man hasn't even played more than 50 minutes and there are many other players more deserving. Yes its a fans game but come on, if the fans are going to vote like this I don't think they should be allowed to vote for starters. And definetly not for reserves either because someone really deserving is going to miss the allstar game thanks to the silly voting of the fans. How can I learn to be more sociable with people?

All my life I've been raised to stay indoors and not answer phone calls or give my number away ever since I was little. We had over the top worried parents and we still do but they've loosen up a bit now and allow us to go out. I'm 22 but the majority of my life I've spent alone not doing much. So even at this age in time I feel like I get stumped on MANY things when people talk to me. I'm so gullible as well. My red eared slider turtles are going nuts?

I have 3 red eared sliders (used to have 4, it's a very sad story, tell me if you want to hear it) and they won't stop moving. mostly they swim against the gl, but sometimes they pile on top of each other and slam onto the bottom of the tank. We just cleaned the tank but it gets horribly dirty in less than 1 week because the turtles keep stirring up the "bad stuff" on the bottom of the tank. All day and all night I hear them slamming against the tank and stirring up the pebbles. you might think that the sound of rattling gravel is calming and natural, but if it is *this* loud and *this* frequent, it gets *this* irritating. Literally, they won't stop moving for 10 seconds. When I get near them, they "stand up" and pound against the gl even more. The tank is beginning to crack on the side and I can't find peace and quiet anywhere downstairs. I can even hear the turtles when I'm playing a computer game upstairs with the volume turned up. Just recently, today, I have not even heard the rattling stop for 3 seconds and the tank is extremely dirty. They did not even do this a few months ago. I think that the turtles go even crazier when I approach because they are so hungry. They probably burn tons of energy like this. We bought a new large canister of turtle food less than 3 months ago, and it's already half gone. I can't even think about adding more gravel because they kick it aside into a pile within 2 minutes. I'm really worried about them, they are burning energy faster than they can eat, and I don't want any more to die. The tank gets so wavy from their motion that it looks like there is a tsunami inside. They keep me up because the rattling pebbles are so loud. Their shells banging against the tank are causing damage to their own shells and the tank. The rattling and banging are so disruptive that I don't even want my friend to come over anymore. please help, I'm worried for them

I'm so sad, i feel so alone, whats wrong with me?

Winter Break help?????????????!?

Today was the last day of school before winter break. I moved to where I lived over the summer so for now I don't have as much friends as everyone else does. I only have 3-4 good friends and I talk to everyone I'm able to socialize and feel comfortable with. I'm not very sad about moving anymore. I've gotten used to it and I completely fine with my school and the people there. Lots of people were saying "See you next year" to each other and hugging and blah blah blah. I felt kinda left out today. Only one of my friends said that to me and no one else. They didn't even bother just to say bye. I didn't even get to see one of my friends today and another friend of mine just ignored me today. I felt bad when I arrived home. I wish I could go back in time to say bye and end this year at school with a firm farewell until next year. It's gonna bother me this whole break. How do I get myself to feel better?

My friend likes to treat me when we go out, but I'd rather we pay only for our own share, how to deal?

I am not a big eater nor big spender, especially since I lost my job a few months ago. Likewise, I avoid going to restaurants and suggest places with happy hour so I can spend under $5. This works with MOST friends. But I have this one friend who eats/drinks alot, her part of the bill ends up being $20-30, she inevitably offers to foot the whole bill (since my part is so small) and is really stubborn about it! I am not equally stubborn and let her treat me some of the time, but I can't let her all the time. Last time, I insisted that I pay my share ($5) but she refused really stubbornly and I ended up insisting on treating her! Which was alot more than mine, about $25. Yes, I believe you can gain it back. I am in a similar situation. I used to love writing and always felt very creative, but the past year has been like permanent writer's block. With all talents, they must be practiced. I started journaling again every night-weird random things, and scetching ideas. So far, it's been great for me! My throat is hurting like hell when i swallow, whilst being a little sick.?

This is going to sound a little crazy but it works for my sore throat every time. It's gone within 24 hours. First, gargle salt water. And don't skimp on the amount of salt. It needs to taste saltier than the ocean. Gargle a whole 6 oz. cup full. When you're done, drink a shot of some strong alcohol. I prefer rum but use whatever you want. Try to let some of it sit in the back of your throat before you swallow it. If you can handle it, take 2 shots. Then, chase it all with some orange juice. IT's going to burn but that's good. It means the salt scratched up your throat and the alcohol has cleaned all the bacteria off your throat. Then go to bed. The alcohol will help you fall asleep too.

So I don't know how to exactly describe my problem, and I go the toilet enough. My problem is that I always stick my fingers up my backside to do a number two. We get along pretty well, but we don't really get to see each other a lot because she's in a play and has rehearsal every day after school and sometimes on the weekends. Two days ago I went to her house and we watched a movie. Everything was going well. We were cuddling and it was all good. Then yesterday (Monday), in the morning, I went to her locker with her, and she told me I should go to homeroom because we get yelled at for hanging out in the hallways after 7:45. I said no and blew off the comment because that's never bothered her before. So I went with her to her homeroom for a few minutes before school started, and she told me to leave right when we got inside. Once again, I blew it off thinking it was just because school started in five minutes. Then, in Chemistry later that day, our last cl, she decided not to sit next to me, instead sitting alone a few seats over. That's when I started getting bothered. Every once and awhile I would make a comment and ask her why she wasn't sitting next to me, like she always does. She didn't respond. Then, after Chemistry, I was going to go with her to her locker again, but instead she told me again to go to homeroom, and that my "lost puppy" thing (that's what she calls me when I spend time with her in the morning because I follow her everywhere. She usually says it's cute.) is getting old. That was a stab to the heart, and I made an annoyed face and left. Then I was upset for the rest of the day. I talked to one of our mutual friends and she said that I should ignore her for a day or so and see how she reacts. So I did. I didn't txt her all last night, or this morning. I didn't go to her locker or homeroom in the morning, and I got no response. Then, at the end of the school day, we usually have a period set aside where we do service work in our school office, like bring messages to teachers and stuff like that. She is usually a very talkative person, but today she was silent. It was really awkward and I tried to look angry and frustrated, but once again I got no response. When the bell rang I got up and left without a word. I went to lift weights after school, and I talked to the same friend I talked to yesterday. She said it was just her "drama" and I should talk to her about it. So I sent her txt's asking her what her deal was, and that I was hurt that she'd been avoiding me lately. She hasn't replied yet, but I wanted to see what people thought about what is up with her. She usually isn't this way, except when her birth control pills are acting up, but I don't think that's the problem. I need help!!! So far I can't think of anything I did between Sunday night and Monday that would have upset her, and if it wasn't me she would have told me about it. It's really not like her to be this way.

I know what you mean, your friends are all loved up and you feel a bit stranded. What sort of equipment do i need to get started in kickboxing?

Start your workout with a minnimumof 15 minutes of stretching. This is crucial to help avoid injury or strain. A few basic exercises would be practicing a front kick, a side kick, and a roundhouse kick (10 - 15 repetitions on each side). This will help build strength and definition in your legs. For your upper body, I would suggest practicing a jab, reverse punch, and a hook (again 10 - 15 repetitions on each side). These are to be done against open air before you work a heavy bag, to gain form and control of the techniques BEFORE you attempt to hit with real power. This basic workout ahould take between 45 - 60 minutes if done right (this includes the 15 minutes of stretching at the beginning. You can do a search online and find pictures and diagrams of the proper way to do these techniques online. After you have done this routine for a few months, it would benefit you to seek out an actual trainer (there are even some willing to train you through online instruction, but a clroom environment is always best) to continue your trainning. As far as equipment, you need hand wraps to protect your wrists, light boxing gloves to protect your hands and knuckles, ankle wraps to protect your ankles, and kick guards to protect your feet. It would also be good to get a mouth piece to keep from biting down on your tongue. This equipment is not needed for practicing the techniques against open air (which is known as "shadow boxing"), but is essential in heavy bag training to keep from sustaining an injury. Hydration is kee, so be sure to keep yourself well hydrated with water or gatorade. Lastly, when making contact with the heavy bag, be sure to exhale. This will promote a healthy and steady flow of oxigen as well as increase power output. Hope this helps, good luck in your training.

I just had a terrible experience at a laundry mat. My dryer broke down and I am forced to go to these places from time to time until it gets fixed. URGENT! How do I clean my DC Shoes?

I have had a fever all day, with no break?

My normal temp is 97.6. I have never really run any temperatures, well actually I never have, when I was young I have gallstones over flowing, appendicitis, and never ran a fever, I suffer from horrible ear infections, inner, outer, and middle at the same time many times, which caused me to have to have both eardrums reconstructed too times, and yet no fevers. But now I have the flu or something, and amazingly I have a fever of 101.4, and it hasn't gone away between meds, showers or anything. The only reason I am concerned is because my skin feels sunburned, and everyone I have talked to says they don't feel like that with fevers. So it is keeping me from sleeping or being able to have covers on because of the burns, yet my skin is only red in some areas, just some small spots. I can't take the burning anymore, and since I have never run fevers, I don't know that any of this is normal, or when I should be worried about a fever sticking around for too long. Can someone please tell me if any of this is normal? The burning, fever sticking around forever and never letting up. Also my symptoms are really sore neck, and body aches, sinus congestion, but nose is not congested or running, sore throat which is also swollen, a slight cough and I am only 30.

The jeweler chipped my diamond...?

I took my engagement ring in to be repaired and during the process the jeweler chipped my princess cut stone. They are taking responsibility for the damage, and have given me 2 choices. 1. they replace the stone with something that is equal in quality to my stone, but keep my damaged stone to re-cut and then sell it, therefore, profiting off of my loss. Or 2. they re-cut my stone and compensate me with store credit for the loss in the value. I asked them to send the stone to the cutter to find out how much we would lose off the diamond and they came back with .05 karat loss and a $250 store credit. I am not totally satisfied by either choice. Can anyone give any advice on what I should do? Should I contact my insurance agent? I am stuck with making a monetary or sentimental choice and I lose either way. What should I do?

Since part of this problem is in the form sqrt(a^2-x^2), I've used trigonometric substition by substituting 3sin(theta) for x. Dx is therefore 3cos(theta)d(theta). This means that the integral equals 3cos(theta)/3sin(theta)*3cos(theta)d(the… This equals 3*integral [cos(theta)]^2/sin(theta). This is where I get stuck. I could either call the inside of this integral cot(theta)*cos(theta), or I could substitute [1-sin(theta)^2] for cos(theta)^2 to get csc(theta) - sin(theta). I had one of the most romantic experiences of my life when I met this guy two years ago while we were both studying abroad. We both really liked each other but were so in-the-moment we never talked about taking it further and knew that the relationship would end once the semester was over - we live very far apart from one another. School dilemma, to go or not to go?

No one can give you this advice. It sounds like you have some school avoidance going on and you are using illnesses to not go to school. It is extremely rare for a young person to be ill enough to miss that many days of school. After a surgery, yes, but other illnesses, no. People go to school with upset stomachs, colds, sinus infections, sore throats every day so that they don't miss school and fall behind as you have. Yesterday I was cited for speeding at 53 mph in a 35 mph zone (yeah i know XP) in LA County while trying to negotiate my way from the left lane into the right hand turn lane (2 lane industrial street) on my way to school. Traffic was flowing steadily at 40-45 mph. The officer saw me accelerate to make the gap in traffic, and clocked me via laser at my max speed. I deserved the ticket, as it was a lack of proper judgement on my part; I should've slowed to find a gap that might've been behind me instead of trying to accelerate into a gap that was ahead of me. My question is what might happen with my license/driving privilege on my court date in July. Am i likely to have my license suspended for a year, and if so, for how long? Am I likely to be given the opportunity to attend traffic school to remove points from my record? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've had a chest cough for months, occasionally coughing up pleghm. suspected it was bronchitis as I'd been having fevers too. A couple of months ago I had erythromycin. And 5 days ago I started clarithromycin.. still not gone or minimized. Do I need to stay in bed all day for it to work, or something? I have been keeping on-the-go. I'm only 20, I don't smoke, I can't imagine what else it could be. Is it just one of those long viruses that take like a year to go away?

I'm going to my boyfriend's mother's house for thanksgiving, what should I bring?

It's out of state, so we'll be driving about 9 hours to get there, so I'm thinking I might do some sort of take a collapsible bowl with dip mixes inside and/or an oven mitt with kitchen utensils or something of the sort. I was going to do the easy buy a bottle of wine, but that almost seems too cliche, besides its thanksgiving, who couldn't always use the extra storage and serving ware for a holiday meal!
